United Nations Joint Prog-ramme to Protect and Promote the Human Rights of Women and Girls in Turkey is sup-ported by all UN agencies operating in Turkey, in addition to several partners and bila-teral donor countries.

A major contribution is provided by Hacı Ömer Sabancı Foundation (VAKSA). Originally Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom supported the UNJP. Recently,

a new donor, Finland has provided financial support for the programme. Even a small contribution can make a big difference as the total of the contributions is always larger than the indi-vidual donations.
