United Nations Joint
Programme to Protect and Promote the Human Rights of Women and Girls
in Turkey is supported by all UN agencies operating in Turkey, in
addition to several partners and bilateral donor countries.
A major contribution is provided by Hacı Ömer
Sabancı Foundation (VAKSA). Originally Canada, Denmark, Sweden,
Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom supported the UNJP.
Recently, Finland and Germany have provided financial support for
the programme. Even a small contribution can make a big difference
as the total of the contributions is always larger than the
individual donations.
Ministry of
Interior, Governor’s Offices and Municipalities of İzmir, Kars,
Nevşehir, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon and Van are also programme partners.
